Modern Day Dating...SUCKS

I have made no qualms about how much I hate dating. It has only been truly succesful before I got married. But that was because she was direct and up front without all of the waiting around to get to some comfort level so that you can be yourself.

Lil Bit and I have talked a lot lately about dating with men and females. How it is a really big mess. The way females want to be chased, put a man on some form of probation and keep themselves at a distance for as long as they can. Her adventures of guys not being direct with her and playing games. While I told her about the episodes of females wanting me to wait on them or put me on a shelf until they are ready.

In truth dating has died and been replaced by this disposable, defense mechanism to try to remain distant while getting what you want in the facade of a dating relationship.

For me dating is about making an effort to be with, maintain and enrich each other. It is doing things for each other and with each other. It is love, passion, caring and commitment that is regular and works through the bad times.

Give me a woman that makes the effort to communicate and interact with me regularly. That can move past limitations to achieve the goal of us continually. As lil bit and I both said, "if you are important to someone then you make the effort and maintain it."

So modern day dating has been relegated to act like we have something only during the times we are actually interacting. Any other time we just know each other basically.

Truthfully dating has no real purpose anymore except for a select few. The brave, the bold, the purists.
