how love conquers all

the happy ending is

attainable by all

I fell for it

realized the folly of it

then I found that

miracle in the destruction

of the universe

that touch I thought I would never feel

fought against even

my hatred of love, dating and marriage

made anger seem pleasant

seething

unbelieving

I settled in to the impossible

abruptly the new found peace

came to an end

the prize for finding it in the first place

rumbling through exploding landmines

I found another miraculous milestone

A slice of cake

delivered unto my plate

complete facade

mission impossible on top of impossible

was all it could be

tears welled

and I melted into the floor
