Luke Warm
I chuckle now
As my eyes see clearly
Your interest in me
Was never waning
It was a tepid heat
From the beginning
As you let me know
That I wasn’t making you boil
Physically or mentally
My overwhelming
Desire and feeling
Was all the heat
That was being generated
Yes
I have heard you mention
You care and miss me
Occasionally
Where is the heat baby?
That damn I miss him and need to
See him
Type of relation
Oh yeah
I fell in love
Instead of hate
And that is a major deterrent
These days
Submerged in this
Once hot and cold
Now a myriad of
Indescribable
Taking it as what it is
What you present
And what is shown to be
Most evident
Oh well
Just let the good times roll
And anything more significant and deep rooted
Will remain in that
Iceberg slim mode
I see clearly now
The story has unfolded
And now I know
